Alcaltel smart flip case
BERLIN — Chinese manufacturerAlcatel OneTouchintroduced its Hero 2 smartphone at the IFA 2014 tech conference in Berlin on Thursday, but its new line of accessories are some of the most fun and innovative I’ve seen in tech in a while. The sleek, 6-inch Hero 2 ($455) debuted alongside the Hero 8 tablet (no price just yet), with nearly identical specs as the smartphone. While the devices are pretty standard in the market right now — an octa-core processor, Android 4.4 "KitKat," an edge-to-edge HD display and gesture control — its accessory adds-ons are as unique as they come. The smart Magic Flip cover, available for both the smartphone and tablet, steals the show: it brings notifications directly to the cover (via flashy LED lights), so you don’t have to flip open the case in order to see calls and texts. And when you play music, equalizer bars are shown on the surface so you cans showboat your device a little. Theeffect is a little likeHTC's Dot Cover, although in the Alcatel's case, it has its own lights.
